Hitech GP have now finalised their 2020 FIA Formula 3 line-up, with Liam Lawson and Dennis Hauger as their final entries. The Red Bull junior drivers will join Renault Sport Academy driver Max Fewtrell in the upcoming FIA Formula 3 Championship in a three-car campaign.

Debuting in the FIA Formula 3 Championship this year, 16 year-old Norwegian Dennis Hauger joins the team on the back of a strong season in the Italian F4 Championship having secured the 2019 driver’s title, alongside a campaign in the 2019 Euroformula Open Championship, and a runner-up position in the ADAC Formula 4. In 2018, the junior talent took his place in the Red Bull Junior Team and F4 British Championship, finishing 2nd in the Rookie Championship.

Finalising the Hitech line-up will be Kiwi ace Lawson, who started in karting at the age of seven, competing and taking honours in numerous championships across New Zealand. Stepping up to single-seaters in 2015, Lawson has won in every category he has raced: Formula First, Formula Ford, Formula 4, Formula 3 Asia and the Toyota Racing Series, where he also gained championship honours in New Zealand in 2019. Lawson retains his Red Bull Junior team driver status in 2020 as he joins Hitech in the 2020 FIA F3 Championship.

The 2020 FIA Formula 3 calendar sees pre-season testing continue at Bahrain International Circuit on 1st – 3rd March, before the first round kicks off on the 20th – 22nd March at the same venue.

Their ability behind the wheel has continually impressed us so we’re looking forward to a successful season ahead.”

Dennis Hauger added: “I’m super excited to start 2020 with Red Bull and Hitech GP. It’s a new step in my career and I cannot wait for the season to start and to work hard for our achievements! I would like to thank the team for this opportunity!”
