The Italian is the first driver confirmed for the 2020 season for the team led by Danilo Rossi. Team DR Formula returns to Formula Regional European Championship. The squad led by Danilo Rossi, after taking part in the season opener, confirms its commitment to the series for the second consecutive year.

17-year-old Emidio Pesce is the first driver announced for the upcoming season. The young Italian, after a successful karting career, made his motorsport debut in the 2019 Italian F4 Championship and is now set to step up to the higher category with the team that last year finished as runner-up in the team championship, and claimed third place in the Drivers’ standings with Brazil’s Igor Fraga, who took a total of four victories.

Even in his maiden Formula Regional European Championship campaign, Pesce is determined to show well and gain more experience.

His first on-track appearance with DR Formula is scheduled at the Paul Ricard test, on 4th/5th March.

“I think Emidio is a very good product of Italian karting,” Danilo Rossi commented, “After a sensational season in the Formula Regional, we are confident we will be able to create a good package to do well”.
