The Maranello-based Ferrari Driver Academy will be watching this year’s championship, which features two FDA drivers, with great interest.

The Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA has had its importance in the eyes of the FIA enforced by this award. The Federation already plans to reward the winner of the title with 25 Super License points, and in addition there is a great new opportunity for the winner: they will be granted a test in an FIA Formula 3 car under the watchful gaze of the observers of the Ferrari Driver Academy, the program dedicated to young drivers who have come to the attention of the Maranello company.

Ferrari’s interest in the championship is not new, and an FDA driver competed with excellent results in the championship in the first season of the series, while in 2020 the team “nursery” will haves two representatives. At the end of the season, which starts on April 25th at Paul Ricard, Ferrari will organize a test in a single-seater from the FIA Formula 3 championship for the winner, as they hunt for more talent to include in the Scuderia Ferrari program.

If the championship is won by a driver who is already part of the FDA, the test will be granted to the highest placed driver who is not already an academy driver.
