After a successful start to his season in New Zealand, Bullet Athlete Rui Andrade (20) is ready to embark on the second half of his 2020 campaign in Europe, racing in the Euroformula Open with Cryptotower Racing Team. The 20-year-old Angolan will join the Euroformula Open newcomer Japanese outfit, which enjoys the technical support of reigning champion Team Motopark.

Cryptotower Racing Team will run three brand new Dallara 320 cars in the championship which visits seven current and former Grand Prix circuits and the Mediterranean Grand Prix, a historic event formerly hosting Formula 1 races.

The Visit Angola ambassador enters his second season in one of Europe’s leading single-seater feeder series, and he is aiming to build on his experience to fly the flag for Angolans on some of the most iconic race tracks in the world.

“I’m very happy to join CryptoTower Racing Team,” said Andrade. “I was really impressed with them during the winter testing and I am looking forward to continuing the progress we’ve made. I grew a lot after last season and I’m very excited to come back and put everything I’ve learned into action. I am very proud to represent my country in such a prestigious series, and I will give my absolute best on track.”

Bullet Sports Management Director Jamie Campbell-Walter said: “Rui has learned a lot since we started working together last June. He’s improved both on and off track, and with the support of Motopark, he will be able to show his true potential this year.”

The 2020 Euroformula Open season is scheduled to kick off on 27/28 June at the Hockenheimring (GER).
