In this time of unprecedented forced stoppages due to Covid-19, and waiting to resume competitions on circuit as soon as possible for the 2020 season, Tatuus wanted to keep passions high with an event, the EWSK Formula Super Masters, approved by ACI Sport and ACI Esport, which will see professional drivers of yesterday and today compete in F4 and Formula Regional cars, but this time in the virtual world.

The esport project has been developed on the technical front by the specialized company World Pro Racing, and will allow the creation of exciting challenges among professional drivers who have registered on www.worldproracing.com and have been selected by the organization. Tatuus will see its Formula 4 T-014 and Formula Regional T-318 cars engaged, albeit in a virtual way.

The tests will take place on the Adria International Raceway from 15th to 18th May, the last date of registration for the event. Live timing will be provided. Over four days the registered drivers will be able to test themselves through “hot laps”, which will see them run on the Adria track with standard conditions and new tyres on each lap. At the end of the 4 days, the drivers will be chosen for the qualifying races which will take place on May 19th, again on the Adria circuit, and which will see the drivers divided into groups. The first 12 drivers of each qualifying race will go straight to the final at Imola’s Enzo and Dino Ferrari circuit. The excluded drivers will still be able to participate in “hot laps” on the Imola circuit on the morning of May 23rd and the best 20 drivers will compete in the repechage race from which the first 6 drivers will go through to the finals on the afternoon of May 23rd.

Then the grand finale on May 23rd starts at 19.10 with the first qualifying session and then two 25-minute races which will be broadcast live from 19:30 CET complete with commentary in English on WSK’s YouTube channels and the ACI Sport Italian F4 Championship and Formula Regional European Championship certified by FIA Facebook pages.

The project has been approved by the ACI Esport commission, dedicated to carrying out and promoting initiatives to support and develop this new, alternative and increasingly advanced way of experiencing motor racing.
