While the updated 2020 calendar for the Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth has been announced confirming the full 7 appointments, some of the teams met up for two days of unofficial tests at the Mugello circuit.

Among the teams that participated in the 2019 Season DR Formula, the team led by the multiple kart champion Danilo Rossi, Prema Powerteam, AS Motorsport, Bhai Tech Racing, Cram Motorsport, DRZ Benelli, Antonelli Motorsport and Jenzer Motorsport.

Of the 16 F4 drivers present, the Prema Powerteam driver and ACI Team Italia member, F4 debutant, Gabriele Minì was fastest in ever session with a best time of 1:47.499. Behind him was teammate Dino Becanovic with a 1:47.707. Andrea Rosso, Cram Motorsport also did well, with a best time of 1:48.316 set early on the first day of testing.

With the new calendar confirned, guaranteeing 7 events in 2020, the series will start on the weekend of August 2nd on the Misano circuit.
