Hitech GP today announced they will be joining the 2020 BRDC British F3 Championship – set to get underway at Oulton Park on 1-2 August – with a two car assault.

Hitech’s British F3 programme will be led by Phil Blow who has overseen Hitech’s FIA Asian F3 campaign since its inception in 2018, in which the team secured two championship titles to date.

The British F3 season will operate on a revised calendar, alongside the British GT Championship, taking place between August – November. The team’s drivers, to be announced in due course, will join an international grid.

The weekend format includes a 20-minute qualifying session and three 20-minute races kicking off at Oulton Park, on 1-3 August with seven rounds across the United Kingdom, before concluding at Silverstone on 7-8 November.

Hitech Team Principal, Oliver Oakes, added: “We are delighted to be joining the BRDC British F3 programme this season, despite being slightly up against it since we are a late entry to the grid. It will be a new challenge for us, but we are looking forward to making our debut at Oulton Park in August.”
