Joshua Duerksen (BWT Muecke Motorsport) started well with an excellent 1:31.026 on a track that was still cold, as the Italian F4 was the first session of the day. Behind Duerksen, a stratospheric Gabriele Minì (Prema Powerteam and ACI Team Italia) slammed in a 1:31.092, and then gained pole position for race 2 with a time of 1:30.579, and also for race 3 with his second best time (1:30.733).
Behind the first two in the first session was American Jack Crawford of Van Amersfoort Racing, with a 1:31.278, while fourth was his teammate Francesco Pizzi with a time of 1:31.307.
In the second session behind Minì was Crawford (1:30.789), then Oliver Bearman (US Racing) in 1:30.885, Dino Beganovic (Prema Powerteam) in 1:30.950, Jonny Edgar (Van Amersfoort Racing) with 1:31.024 and Pizzi (1:31.094).
Race 1 starts this afternoon at 12.30 local time.
