Gianluca Petecof was very focused and seemed entirely at ease at the Red Bull Ring and managed to show his potential to the max with two exceptional qualifying sessions and all three pole positions. Behind him his teammates, Arthur Leclerc and Oliver Rasmussen, swapped second and third places in the two sessions. Much the same applied to Pierre-Louis Chovet (Van Amersfoort Racing) and Patrick Pasma (KIC) respectively. Jamie Chadwick (Prema Powerteam) also did well in the first qualifying session, finishing sixth, but unfortunately in the second session she was hampered by technical problems with the car.
