DR Formula is set for Formula Regional European Championship one-day testing at Imola, scheduled for today, Thursday, November 12th, with an absolute newcomer on board.

Alongside regular driver Emidio Pesce, the team led by Danilo Rossi will field a car for Ian Rodriguez. The 20-year-old racer from Guatemala will drive one of the DR Formula Tatuus single-seaters and is looking forward to making his debut in the series at the same venue in the penultimate round of the season, on the weekend of 21st/22nd November.

After having gained important experience in Italian F4 with DRZ Benelli between 2015 and 2019 – and claiming a victory at Vallelunga in 2017 – Rodriguez moved to the USA, entering the Indy Pro 2000 championship for RP Motorsport and finishing second at Road America and third at the Mid-Ohio track.

At Imola, DR Formula also confirmed Emidio Pesce. The young Italian racing driver aims to continue his apprenticeship and to end the 2020 season in the best possible way.
