I was just casually deadheading the pelargoniums, as you do, when something moved in the corner of my field of vision. Closer inspecting revealed a tiny grass snake, and when I say tiny, no more than 6 inches long. I’ve never seen one before – and was very pleased that it stayed put under the planter while I got my camera… it’s now vanished into the lawn somewhere.
And here it is:
Tiny, cute and very, very cross!
