New Simulator for Denmark and Beyond

SimTechSport, formed in 2015 by Henrik Jacobsen and Kenneth Melbye Larsen, have recently announced the opening of their new simulator. The SimTechSport simulator is built around a Formula Renault monocoque using a real brake pedal box with Formula Renault brakes. With sensors mounted in the brake lines, this system can provide brake pressure exactly like a real racing car. The clutch is also from a Formula Renault to make sure starting feels exactly like the real thing.

Input from a Formula Ford throttle body gives users the feeling of pressing the throttle in a real racing car. All these devices together provide exactly the same feeling as sitting in a real single seater racing car.

An F1 style steering wheel with paddle shift, shift light and display ensures the grip is always perfect when the driver is driving in stressful situations. In addition two “butt kickers” supply the driver with realistic feedback from gear changes and when driving hard on the kerbs.

Three 27″ monitors give the driver the most realistic experience when they are in the simulator. Exceptionally fast response time means there is no lag between what you see and what you feel. Because the screens are connected to TrackIR 5, the best technology for tracking the driver’s head, their actual movement is linked in three-dimensional space to their in-game view, which means they can focus more on the apexes, and gives a more natural flow while driving.

The sound is supplied using Logitech dolby digital surround sound with 5 speakers and a separate subwoofer or through a ROCCAT Kave 5.1 digital surround headset.

Needless to say all this is run using a very powerful computer.

SimTechSport was formed in 2015 by Henrik Jacobsen and Kenneth Melbye Larsen. Their goal was to build a professional simulator that would help prepare drivers for race weekends and ensure they are mentally ready to race. They aimed to provide a complete package as close to the real life track experience as possible – both inside and outside the car. Their aim is to provide the best racing simulator in Denmark offer the complete experience with full AIM data logging support.
