Xavier Lloveras: First test with F4 Spain at Motorland
“Upon arriving at the paddock at the Motorland circuit we saw the five Koiranen GP trailers parallel parked in front of the pits. On entering the garages, there were 15 cars ready to go out, with more than 40 mechanics in attendance, along with the driver coaches, and even a cook who prepared food for everyone.
Later, after the briefing we went out on the track, which was wet and very slippery. My first impression of the F4 was that it was different or strange because the tracking seemed very sensitive and I was not accustomed to the car or the engine noise from the Abarth turbo. Anyway I managed to complete the session, quickly adapting myself to the new car. The later session were dry and I started to test the performance of the F4. It felt much improved after we made some technical adjustments to the car.
The second day was better, and I was able to get my head round the time differences between old and new tyres. In the afternoon it began to rain heavily which forced me to drive a car in the wet for the first time. It was difficult at first but with the help of my coach, Mathew Parry, I gradually improved my driving and my times.

The organization is very good with a desire to get things right. They are eager to start the new F4 certified by FIA Spanish Championship.
My plans for 2016 are to participate in the Spanish F4 Championship and if we can also the SMP F4 NEZ Championship to prepare myself to jump to a higher category in the 2017 season.”
