Pulcini (Campos Racing) tops Euroformula Open timesheets
The Italian driver set the pace in free practice at Estoril, ahead of newcomer Herta (Carlin Motorsport), Fioravanti (RP Motorsport), Walilko (Fortec) and Habsburg (Drivex).
Leonardo Pulcini and Campos Racing led the way in practice at Estoril. Pulcini managed to break the 1:33 barrier in the morning and his time of 1:32.886 put him well clear of the rest of the field. American Colton Herta finished 2nd fastest in his Dallara for Carlin Motorsport, just two tenths slower than Pulcini. Italian Damiano Fioravanti (RP Motorsport) was ranked third, ahead of Poland’s Igor Walilko (Fortec Motorsports) and Austria’s Ferdinand Habsburg (Drivex), who rounded out the top five, making it five different teams in the top 5.
Behind them came Diego Menchaca and Julio Moreno securing sixth and seventh places for Campos Racing. Young Briton Jack Aitken and Antoni Ptak, with two Dallaras entered by RP Motorsport, also made it into the top ten, as did German rookie Keyvan Andres (Carlin Motorsport).
