Wells Joins Ford in 2016 Chinese Touring Car Championship

Hong Kong based racing driver Dan Wells today announced he will make history by becoming the first non-Chinese driver to race in the CTCC this season.

The dominant Asian Formula Renault Champion will race with the Changan Ford team for the maximum number of races available to international drivers this season (4 out of the 8 rounds).

“I’m very pleased to sign with the Changan Ford Racing Team,” commented Wells. “It is a great achievement that I will be racing for a manufacturer this year, and even better that it be in a Chinese championship with so much excitement and fan engagement. Racing a touring car is completely different to anything I’ve done before, but I will be working with the team to ensure the best possible results. Bring on the first round!”.

The first round of the championship will take place on May 21/22 in Nanjing.
