Victory for Rookie Correa in Shortened Race
As with Race 2, Race 3 also began behind the Safety Car, with the race going live on lap 2. At the first corner, the American Juan Manuel Correa (Prema Power Team) got the drop on Russia’s Yan Shlom (RB Racing), who had started first as a result of the reversal of the top 10 from Race 2. the uncertain conditions led to numerous attempts to overtake; in one of these, the Canadian Devlin De Francesco (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport) left the track, forcing the Safety Car to come back out again. On lap 4, Race 3 went live again and the duel between Shlom and Argentinean Diego Ciantini (Jenzer Motorsport) for second place decided the fate of the race.
At the beginning of the sixth lap another accident, this time on the start-finish straight was enough to persuade the Race Director to throw the red flag and stop the race. The results were declared at the end of lap 5, which meant victory for Correa from Ciantini and Shlom. Fourth place went to Raul Guzman (DR Racing), followed by Marcos Siebert (Jenzer Motorsport), Mick Schumacher (Prema Powerteam), Job Van Uitert (Jenzer Motorsport), Ye Yifei (Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport ), Lorenzo Colombo (BVM Racing) and Joao Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport).
The next round of the Italian Championship F.4 powered by Abarth will take place at the Mugello circuit, 15th/17th July.
