Double R Signs Harry Hayek for the Spanish F4 Championship
The British team newly entered in the F4 Spanish Championship certified by FIA, brought a new addition to the Series. Eighteen year old Harry Hayek will be competing the 2016 season and will be aiming for the first ever title of the Series. Aussie Hayek competed in the 2015 F4 Australia Championship certified by FIA and finished fourth in his maiden year, before heading to Europe with the support of EDGE Sporting Management.
“There are much more racing opportunities in Europe, from single-seater to GT cars, so it was the main reason I moved to the UK. I started motorsport quite late compared to the other drivers. I was fourteen and bought my own go-kart by doing little jobs as a soccer referee. Since then, I’ve never stopped racing. It’s the first time I’ve driven on a Spanish circuit and I love it. The circuit is awesome, especially the first corners, the car feels totally different from the one I drove until now and I am enjoying it. I don’t know any of the other drivers this weekend, but I am sure we will get along well,” said Hayek.
The 2016 F4 Spain drivers are at the Circuito de Navarra for the first Official Test days of the season today.
