MP Motorsport Confirm Full Line-Up for Spanish F4

The well-known Dutch team which also races in the GP2 Series has signed a full line-up of drivers for the maiden year of the F4 Spanish Chamionship certified by the FIA ahead of the first round this weekend in Navarra.

First they have Spaniard Xavier Lloveras who is the national star in the newborn  championship, which should give the Dutch team a strong impetus to fight for the Team Championship.

Jarno Opmeer, Championship leader of the 2016 SMP F4 NEZ Championship certified by FIA will be fighting to snatch a double crown. The sixteen-year old Dutch driver, who has been testing during the winter on the Spanish circuit, is fully ready to fight for the title. “It is an amazing opportunity for me to be in the F4 Spanish Championship. The organization is totally different as here I am part of a team, so it is teaching me another way of working. But the goal remains the same and I will give everything I have to leave on Sunday with a bag full of  points.”

Richard Verschoor, the new Red Bull Junior Team addition will also compete in the full F4 Spanish Championship season alongside his fellow countryman. After his podium last week-end in Zandvoort, the Dutchman has his sights set on starting his Spanish campaign on a high note. “It was a mixed start of the Championship in the SMP F4 NEZ Championship. I have the pace, I won all the qualifying sessions, so I know where I need to improve now. I will start the F4 Spanish Championhip from scratch and I won’t let the chance pass my.”

The fourth driver completing MP Motorsport line-up is Juuso Puhakka, Finnish driver. “I have tested in Spain during winter with the F4-2014 Tatuus/Abarth car and I liked it a lot. The F4 Spanish Championship is an accessible championship in terms of budget and I hope to perform here, even though the competition is very tough.”
