Fittje (Fortec) storms to pole position in wet conditions

Germany´s Fittje provided a good test of his credentials for the future by setting today´s pole position ahead of Troitskiy (Drivex) and Vivacqua (Campos Racing).

With the wet weather making driving conditions treacherous, rookie pilot Jannes Fittje (Fortec Motorsports) set an almost perfect lap of 2:16.318 to secure pole position for today´s race 1. Fittje managed to beat Nikita Troitskiy (Drivex) to pole position, the only drivers to break the 2:17 barrier.

Behind, to start from row 2, Thiago Vivacqua took 3rd spot ahead of Yan Leon Shlom (Fortec), the latter delivering another impressive performance. Harrison Scott (RP Motorsport), who mastered track conditions – including a hail storm- by topping Saturday morning´s test session, qualified in the fifth place followed by Simo Laaksonen (Campos Racing) in 6th. The duo of Carlin, Devlin DeFrancesco and Ameya Vaidyanathan, will share row four and finally Alexey Chuklin (Fortec) and Pedro Cardoso (Teo Martín Motorsport) rounded off the top ten.
