Caroline doubles up with win number two at Brands Hatch
Jamie Caroline drove another flawless race this afternoon to take his second win of the weekend at Brands Hatch. The 18-year-old racer took a lights to flag victory for Carlin, managing his pace perfectly in the final F4 British race of the weekend. Team mate Patrik Pasma completed a very strong debut weekend in the series, claiming fourth place with Logan Sargeant sixth. Lucas Roy was running in 13th place before a small off put him down the order, coming home in 15th place.

As the racing action got underway for the final time this weekend, Caroline made another good start from pole position, leading Arden driver Oscar Piastri into Paddock. Pasma once again showed his talent off the line, making up a place to take fourth, while Sargeant was sixth and Roy 14th.

Caroline immediately set about pulling a gap from Piastri in P2, while Sargeant was all over the back of Ayrton Simmons in the fight for P5. As the race unfolded, Caroline maintained a healthy gap from the duelling Arden’s of Piastri and Alex Quinn with the gap around two seconds for most of the race.
In a relatively uneventful race, Caroline did well to look after his tyres, with Piastri closing in briefly in the final stages of the race, Caroline was able to respond and maintain a safe distance. Rookie Roy re-joined the track after a brief off, albeit a couple of places down from his previous 13th place.
At the front, Caroline crossed the line to take his second win of the weekend and an early championship lead. Pasma and Sargeant took fourth and sixth, the positions they also hold in the championship standings, with Roy 15th at the flag.

Reflecting on a successful weekend, Caroline said, “The team have done a mega job, the car has been great throughout the weekend; we’ve done qualifying sims and race sims and from first practice we’ve had a strong package. Leaving here with two pole positions and two race wins is the best start to any year I’ve had. A team of this calibre has helped bring me on a lot – we’ve done a lot of preparation, a lot of testing and they’ve really worked with me on my consistency. I’m already looking forward to Donington.”
