Niskanen Adds to the 2017 Roster
16-year old Finn Elias Niskanen will join the 2017 F4 NEZ Championship certified by FIA for a full season in the Tatuus-Abarth car.
After two seasons in the Formula Ford Finnish Championship Series, Elias Niskanen will continue in the FIA F4 Championships. A successful test run in the final round of the 2016 F4 Spanish Championship certified by FIA in Jerez where he scored points in his first race confirmed that Niskanen wanted to enter the 2017 F4 NEZ Championship.

Elias Niskanen was only 14 when he first appeared on the track at the Ahvenisto circuit, in Finland, at the wheel of a Formula Ford, qualifying third in his maiden round. One year later, the young Finn snagged the track records at Kemora and Ahvenisto, and was crowned Finnish Champion with one round to go in the championship.
Currently studying logistics at the Savo Consortium for Education Sports Academy, VET for Athletes, Elias Niskanen has high expectations from his third year in single-seaters.

Elias Niskanen: “FIA F4 cars are very good, there is much more grip and the corner speeds are very high comparing to Formula Ford. My goal is to reach the top in motorsport and and make it my future profession. The F4 NEZ Championship is the perfect playground for young drivers as the cars are the same and the driving only makes the difference. The competition will be very high, but I know I have everything to fight for the title.”
Niskanen will join the Series Official Test Days in Parnu, Estonia on 18-19 April, 2017.
