Reddy Completes Carlin’s EuroFormula Open 2017 Line Up

Carlin is pleased to confirm that Indian Racer Tarun Reddy joins their 2017 EuroFormula Open line up and completes a strong three car team for the upcoming season.

Following a strong year competing in the BRDC British F3 Championship Reddy looks ahead to graduating to the European racing scene with Carlin. The Indian racer clocked up a strong four podiums last season and participated in the somewhat weather-affected BRDC British F3 Autumn Trophy at the end of the 2016 season. Previous to this, Reddy was also a multiple podium finisher across the MRF Challenge, MSA Formula and Formula Renault BARC Series – while also becoming the youngest ever national champion of India in the MRF 1600 Series.

Rookie Reddy now looks to take on a new challenge as the 2017 EuroFormula Open Championship beckons – with the opening round taking place this weekend at Estoril, Portugal. Reddy takes on the challenges of the upcoming season alongside his full time education commitments at the University of Warwick where he studies Business Management. Reddy will have two days of testing on Thursday and Friday in which to get himself acquainted with the car before two fast paced qualifying sessions which set the scene for great racing action on Saturday and Sunday.

Reddy joins Carlin’s previously confirmed drivers Ameya Vaidyanathan and Devlin DeFrancesco for an assault on the eight round season.

“I’m thrilled to be racing in EuroFormula Open this year with Carlin as it’s a fantastic opportunity,” said Tarun Reddy.  “I’ll be giving everything I can to deliver the best results possible.  This is another big new challenge, with new circuits to learn, and I’m confident we will have a strong season.”

Racing director Trevor Carlin added, “We are very pleased to have Tarun on board with us for the upcoming season in the Euro Formula Championship. I believe that it is the perfect championship to move on from after a solid rookie season racing in the BRDC British Formula Three Championship. It will be a challenge for him to race in Europe for the very first time but I have confidence in his ability.”
