SMP F4 NEZ Championship Round 4, Parnu Calling
The SMP F4 NEZ Championship certified by FIA stops off at the auto24ring, in Parnu, for the fourth round of the season after a thrilling Ahvenisto round. This weekend 19 drivers will be on the starting grid as MP Motorsport driver John Peters is unable to take part in the Estonian round. Roman Lebedev from SMP Racing is also replaced by Ivan Shvetsov, who only turned 15 last week and who is now the youngest driver to complete in the 2017 season.
It was an intensive first part of the season as the Championship travelled for three weeks in a row from Sochi, to Smolensk and then Ahvenisto. After Xavier Lloveras claimed the lead of the Championship after Smolensk Round 2, Christian Lundgaard came back at him and is again on top of the points table by a mere two points after the Finnish round. However, Alexander Smolyar from SMP Racing is not far behind, with a 21-point gap to the Renault Sport Academy driver, and the Russian comes to Estonia in great form despite a spectacular accident in F4 Spain Round 1 last week in Motorland.
The weekend will start on Friday with the first forty-minute free practice session at 11:25 and FP2 at 14:55, and then continues on Saturday with Qualifying 1 at 09:00, Race 1 (25 minutes +1 lap) at 13:20 and Race 2 (18 minutes +1 lap) at 18:45. The weekend ends on Sunday with Qualifying 2 at 10:00 and Race 3 (25 minutes +1 lap) at 12:35.
